I have aToro Timecutter ss 4225 with the Kohler engine. It is on the second discharge chute. Without it, it covers the operator with grass. Has anyone covered the discharge opening and made a rear discharge mower out of the side one? Also after running enough to get warm, when less than full throttle the governor hunts and surges constantly.

That would take a major redesign as you going need a counter rotating blade so the discharge would in the center of the deck instead one side. Otherwords LH side needs to CW while right side needs the CCW rotation. Best to just live the current design or buy a mower that already setup for rear discharge.
