Thanks to the help of the fine folks on this forum, I conquered the beast that is the transmission drive belt replacement on a Troy Bilt TB30R. Couldn't have done it without you! And since we are all in virtual lockdown with few friends present, I thought I'd offer a virtual toast to my friends here. So cheers everyone!

But I will say that removing the engine pulley (which required the purchase of a relatively inexpensive impact wrench) is ultimately what made the job possible for me. Mower runs and cuts like a champ now.
