Hello. I've recently bought a B&S PXi-1000 from Ebay. I'm using it for a hovercraft project, not for installing to a lawn mower. But I'm a bit confused as to where the throttle control for the engine is. I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to engines. There is a manual included, but the illustrations and the actual engine itself are slightly different. In the manual it shows a throttle control, but I can't find it on the actual engine. I've attached a pic of the engine. Any help would be gladly appreciated.

More pics attached, including the part which I think is the throttle (the one connected to the orange-stained spring), but I'm not sure.

I've removed the blower housing, the air cleaner, and recoil starter. And I still have no clue where to attach the throttle control cable for this thing. On other engines it's as clear as day. The manual is of no help at all, since the illustrations are very different. I might as well say there is absolutely no instruction manual for this particular model.

Is it possible that this particular model has no adjustable throttle control? (i.e. it runs at a single speed only?)

Looks like a fixed rpm engine. As in no throttle cable required. Yes that looks to be the throttle lever where that spring in question is. If you bend that metal tab on that steel bracket on the left side of the pic, the rpm's will vary.

A clever guy like yourself might rig up a throttle cable. Might need a bracket off another similar engine. More than one way to skin some kitty's.
