Got this free last fall with a bent blade. Ran in fall with bent blade. Replaced blade and flywheel key this spring still no start. I have no spark at the coil using the Briggs spark tester. New spark plug. I also smell gas when trying to start it. Bad coil? Stuck valve?
disconnect the wire coming off of the coil. If still no fire then replace the coil. If you have fire with it disconnected then the problem is in the kill wire or switch.

Will start after removing ground wire from coil. Whats the part number for the ground wire and stop switch? This is all I have for ground wire part number #37047.
