Could you be more specific? What model number? Vertical or horizontal crank?
Over filled with oil? Some have a valve in the breather assy that can stick open.

Been gone for a while but if your engine has a lot of hours on it, and the oil level is correct, it "might" be blow-by. Perhaps a collapsed ring? time to re-ring with a good honeing too. If cyl is beyond spec, time to bore
