I have a 1997 14a garden tractor the pto wil not always engage. I drive around some and it engages. I can hear a noise when I turn pto on but it will not always engage.
Electric club or manual? If manual might be belt or the idler arm not engaging all the way. If electric might be belt slipping or the air gap on the clutch might need to be set or might have to replace.
