Looking for assistance...both my mower and my pressure washer sport the Honda GCV 160. One functions without so much as a pause...while the other starts up, runs for all of 5 minutes and then shuts down. Further attempts to crank it are without success. Both have received identical care.
In an effort to coax the "offender" along I have replaced the spark plug, oil, air filter, and even...the carburetor. But to no avail.
I am, admittedly, new to the repair of small engines...and am looking for someone to help me along with a bit of wisdom!
Many thanks... MMWines

Get an in line spark detector and watch when it starts to die. If it continues to spark to the bitter end then you have a fuel problem. If it stops then you have an electrical problem. Let us know what you find.
