I received this yesterday and started using it today. The last one I had, I used for about a year.
I had to take it apart to swap out the adaptor for a green adapter for my STIHL Trimmer. I put everything back together and rewound the trimmer line that came with it. The issue I am having is that when I crank up the trimmer and bump it against the ground while it's spinning, the line doesn't extend outwards like it's supposed to. I took it apart again and flipped that middle part so that the R is facing upwards and tried that. Immediately after bumping the ground, all of the trimmer line came out at once. I took it apart again and flipped it back so that the L is facing upwards and tried that again. When bumping it against the ground, the trimmer line still won't extend. I haven't tried using different trimmer line. I have some I might try tomorrow. Is the issue the spring itself or something else?
