I have a Craftsman/Briggs Stratton 675 series self propelled mower. I haven't used it for a few months and am having a brain freeze on how to start it. It doesn't seem to have a soft gas pump button like my old mower. And when I hold the handle down and pull on the handle it isnt starting. Has something come off over the winter?? Need a tuneup? lawnmower.JPG Any advice? Thank you.

Most likely causes are stale fuel, dirty carb. If I am correct that engine has the ez start feature which is the automatic choke. Probably will need to remove the carb, and give it a good cleaning, and don't forget the jet in the bowl nut.

The primer bulb might not be drawing fuel, and has dried out from sitting. Have you tried shooting some fuel, or carb cleaner in the carb to see if it will start?
