Hello - New to me Simplicity Prestige 2691130-00. Hydro pedal does not return from forward or backward to neutral unless I manually move it. Difficult to press pedal all the way into forward or reverse. Fresh hydro fluid. Is there a part that needs to be adjusted or lubricated so that the pedal returns easily?

Debris (grass)is possibly built up under the mower frame. Follow the forward and reverse pedal linkage back and see how it looks.

Unit is super clean, and only 77 hours. I like that thought, but no grass. Pedal will move through full range with effort, but only return partially.

It will take disconnecting linkages to pin the binding area.

Note you have a Tuff Torq KXH10NC front transaxle and a Tuff Torq K664K rear transaxle. Anywhere along the control linkage path could be causing the binding.

After thoroughly lubricating all of the linkages I could find/see, the forward is working better. The reverse still does not return. I must depress the forward pedal to get the unit to stop when going backwards. I am having difficulty seeing where the linkage goes to the front.

You will need to access the operator pedal assembly pivot bolts to lube them. Sounds like this unit has sit more than being used.
