Has anyone every tried to fabricate a power flow housing from sheet steel?
I' m on my third housing for my mower. I have and acre of yard with lots of trees and I used the mower in the fall to chop and pickup the leaves. I know it is hard on the power flow but, sure saves on the back.
Over the years when the housing started to split I have always reinforced the inside with sheet metal and rivets which helps to extend it's life.
I just priced a new one and the have doubled in price. They are now over $200.
I have often thought of trying to make one out of metal and wondered if anyone has tried it and if it worked?
Thanks in advance for your help.
