I have an ariens zoom 1540 and it's got a belt driven bagger on the side. I am wondering if the lift in my blades is wrong because it is constantly getting clogged and then burning up the belt, there is a lot of clipping blowing out from under the deck, and the fan on the bagger is really pushing some air when it's on, just gets stuck right at the entrance of the fan. I don't know what kind of bagger it is.
Is there any recommended lift for a power bagger? The guy that owned this before me was a hack.
Make sure your deck is clean topside and underside, also check blades to see if they are installed right side up. If you have to remove blades I would clean, inspect, sharpen and check blade balance. Down load manual for your mower from website and follow instructions and procedures.
