I think I sucked some snow into my Poulan Pro snowblower on Sunday. The unit starts fine but will only idle on full choke. The motor won't speed up and when I try to turn the choke down it dies. Do I have water in the carbureter? And if so, can I fix this myself? I don't have any small engine experience.

Try this, loosen, do not remove the screw on the bottom of the carb and drain about 6 oz. of gas into a small clear glass container. Tight screw. Examine the gas to see if you have any water. You will see a separation of gas and water, if it is present. If you do have water, drain out all fuel, tank and carb, and start over with fresh. If no water, dump a very small amount of gas into the spark plug hole and try to start and run. Report back what you find.
