I have a cub cadet 173, and like usual never a happy owner of it.It seems to have the standard hard starting and making a couple laps around the lawn before stalling and not starting.After doing a thorough carb clean and blowing it out (not the first one I have done)it still has same problem.So here is where things change.....After reassembly couple laps around the lawn it want to stall so I take the gas cap off and it comes back to life...there is no vent to the gas tank! I took the gas cap apart and drilled a small hole to bottom side.....cured the problem.Now running wise it's better than my new machine.It still has an issue with starting and I would like factory spark plug gap and cant find anyone with an answer...l am not one that takes on off the shelf and figures it correct ..... help PLEASE
