I have a Briggs 19.5 hp opposed cylinder engine model 42e707-2275.e1 that is out of a Craftsman LT1000 mower. Rebuild went good all except a cracked oil ring. Found the part diagram for the engine and ordered the replacement rings. When they arrived they are far too thick. I am unsure if they are the wrong rings in the box or if there is a discrepancy between the diagram that Briggs shows for this model engine and the parts actually used. I can not find technical drawlings or dimmensions anywhere and am looking for help. Is anyone able to tell me what the dimmensions of part number 394959 are or if that is the iccorect part number for that engines rings. Thank you

You have an Opposed twin cylinder engine that is manufactured after date code 00121200 that uses pistons with narrower ring grooves and thinner piston rings. You would need to contact Briggs for the correct PN for the rings.
