PGT 9000 Craftsman Professional 26Hp Kohler Pro 54" deck Black and Yellow

I bought this tractor last spring and it has worked flawlessly up until now. My mower deck just dropped to lowest setting which is the ground and will now raise. It was advertised as having electric lift but I see now they changed that description to spring loaded fender mounted deck lift. I don't understand that as my tractor has a rocker switch to raise and lower the deck ? I have googled this tractor and have seen many posts about design fault with mower deck actuation, from wimpy design to the electric motor is undersized and they don't sell the electric lift anymore. I never received a recall for it ? Now my large lawn is 1/2 mowed and my tractors dragging the deck, and earlist a sears tech can come out is 1 1/2 week. Geez in a week and a half I'll be trading this tractor for a herd of goats. Any suggestings on dealing with this situation with Sears would be muchly appreciatted.

See if you can get a local lawnmower shop to give you a hand. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT, and hopefully you can wrestle Sears when it's running again. That's all I can think of.

Surprisingly enough the sears repair guy turned up with new motor & spline & clevis pin and replaced them on my tractor and its as good as new. Sears had a new company make the clevis pin for them and now its supposed to last. Keeping fingers croossed. TYVM for your reply.
