I'm starting to do the research to replace my Craftsman 42", 24hp. lawn tractor. I will prob. finish out this season with it and buy a new zero turn in early 2014..I was originaly going to go with a Cub Cadet (3 blades a must) but now I'm seeing a lot of other brands that may or may not be better or at least more for the $$. any suggestions?

Really depends on what your needs are; how big an area do you mow, is it hilly, will you want to drag around a small garden trailer occasionally? Also consider ease of maintenance; will you do periodic maintenance yourself or will you have a pro do it? If you do it yourself I personally would find a model where the doggone oil filter is not at the front of the engine just above the body where its pretty much impossible to change it without covering the mower in oil. Silly engineers!! Swishers are built solid like tanks. I also like Bad Boys and Hustlers seem descent as well. Good luck with your new mower!
