One of the fuel line stems broke on the purge base assembly. I ordered a replacement and in the interim got some spray carb cleaner and partially disassembled the carb to clean it up.

I removed the rotor cover assembly. This exposed a center pin. I sprayed cleaner here and cleaned the rotor cover. The issue is that when I replace the rotor cover assembly, pulling the throttle cable does not result in a smooth rotation of rotor(?) Within carb. There's friction and have to pull cable much harder than before I disassembled.

I've inspected it closely and can't find a reason. Does this need to be lubricated at all? Am I missing something?

In my opinion when it come to Carb issues especially running a business, there inst a lot of time to be spent on it. Although if I had to and was in your situation I would completely disassemble the Carb and slowly put it back together correctly. Sometimes there is a spring that is not seated right or the pin is to high or to low there are many videos for this on YouTube also keep in mind a new Carb is only about 40 bucks and it will save you time and trouble with problems in the future. Don't forget time is money.

Thank you for your response. Being a homeowner - this is my own blower so I don't mind spending time on it :>) It's just strange how this happened as I didn't remotely do a complete teardown. I removed this just to get at some of the dirt and grime on the throttle area. It should have just slid back in without issue. I'm wondering since this is a 2 cycle engine - if, once the fuel/oil combination begins to flow through if it will become easier. I'm waiting on the parts I ordered and then I will take a closer look.

For anyone with this issue in the future

1. The rotor doesn't need to be removed, rarely
2. If you do remove it, you'll likely loose the same two parts I did:
