This is a parts mix of several other models that Ive used regularly for over 20 years for mowing and hooked to a small trailer as needed for yard work.
Major change is to a 15 hp single cylinder OHV Briggs about 15 years ago. 6 speed transaxle is original.
Started right up after an outdoor NH winter slumber on a pair of ramps nose up with mower still attached.
The transaxle floor shift is smooth on all 6 forward gears plus neutral with plenty of room for reverse before the stop but there is no sign of reverse alto there is plenty of room on the shift pattern, First guess is linkage alignment but Im checking with the experts here first.
Others here are 17 and 19,5 hp horizontal twins, Those have amazing torque common to flatheads but are real gas guzzlers.
