Parts availibility by brand. Used 36/48 walk behind

I passed on a nice condition Howard Price machine because it was the first used mower I've looked at since deciding I need a larger mower, and I read that the spare parts were hard to come by. A quick spare parts search on the web reveals this is true.

I am looking at ~15-20 y.o. Ransomes/Bobcat/ Exmark/ JD/ Bunton/ Scag. My current plan it to buy something ~800 +/- 200 that is in good running condition, or something ~200 not running and repower it/ rebuild it.

My question is what mower brands have the best spare parts available? All the brands I mentioned above seem to have basically the same layout, design and motor (Kawasaki).

Maybe a different question would be better.

What parts for your brand /vintage 36/48" mower have been hard to get? Or have you had no trouble finding what you've needed when things break.
