Oregon vs. Rotary "Gator" blades

What is your opinion on the difference in these 2 blades?

I've been buying the Rotary brand and for my 48" cut Husqvarna the the blade is .203 x 2.5" x 16.25 and they run me $8.99 each. Talking with a local lawn mower shop they told me the Oregon was a much better blade and it is .204 x 3" x 16.25, they are $16.99 each at his shop. He also said he could order me the HD Oregon Gator that is .250 x 3" x 16.25 and they run $21 per blade.

Would I see enough improvement in life of the blade to justify the double in cost for the cheaper Oregon or the extra $12 per blade on the HD version?

I currently keep two or three sets, rotating them out every 3 or 4 mowing's of my 2 acres.

Neve paid attention, but I was also told that the "gator" teeth were turned in different directions on the 2 blades.

The thicker blade will give more sharpening . Blades really thing out over a few seasons

Use The Oregon, there a much better blade. I get mine at the shop and have two sets for each ZTR on hand and sharpen weekly.
