Trying to start a lawn tractor with an 18 hp Onan engine that has been sitting for 15 years. How is the best way to turn over the engine without damaging the cylinder walls. should I unsrew the sparkplugs and shoot oil into the cylinder or if someone has a better way please advise THANK YOU. A reply is greatly appriciated.

you could use oil,
i prefer this.
Remove the spark plug(s) and spray some of this in the cylinder.
