I have been having problems with my lawn tractor losing power after running for a few minutes. Fires up fine but then it sounds as if there is a slight clanking noise. Start going for about 10 or 15 minutes then will lose power. Mainly uphill. I let off the gas and it seems to come back a little but hit the gas and it starts dying again. Changed plugs and fuel filter. Tried the gas cap. What else could it be? HELP!

Please provide us with the model and serial numbers for both the unit and engine so we have some idea of what unit you are talking about. Due to COVID all service techs on this forum have lost their ESP abilities and we really hates wasting time guessing at possible solutions.

Single cylinder or 2 cylinder engine? If its twin(2 cylinder) then one cylinder maybe failing....sparkplug, head gasket, valves.
