Older gcv timing question.

How do I get proper timing set for my Gcv 200.
Mower model HRX217K6HYA.
It is very hard to pull through compression stroke.
I am not certain I reassembled engine correctly.
Would the cam release spring also cause this?
Is there a site I can get to to read about proper reassembly instructions for this motor?

And yes if the ACR is not working it can cause higher than compression at TDC but first make the valves are set correctly.
