Older Briggs Vanguard engine oil type

I recently had an older Massey Ferguson lawn tractor fall into my hands for free. It needs some TLC but nothing too major. I got it running well and fixed some electrical issues it was having. But more to the point.. I was wondering what type of oil would be best for this engine. I'll post all the engine and tractor numbers below. The engine runs smooth and doesn't knock or smoke and I'd like to keep it that way. It came with the mower deck, tiller, and snowblower attachments so i'll be using this in the summer and winter months.

Engine Number: 303777-0411-01
Engine Serial Number (Date Code): 94060711

Tractor Model Number:1692499 (2616H)
Tractor Serial Number: 1007

Thanks for your time and help all!

Manual calls for 30 weight

I use Kawasaki K-Tech branded oil for most of my SAE30, as it's RUMORED, to have the most Zinc (good for the camshafts) of most small engine oils, however i haven't been able to locate a PPM reading for the anti wear additives in the oil.
Also if you can get your hands on Shell Rotella SAE 30 (Diesel oil), or Kinetix SAE30 or Valvoline VR1 sae 30.

My 2010 20hp Vanguard Engine Manual recommends Full Synthetic 5W-30 engine oil, 48 oz. with filter change.

All the vanguard we have had and have. We always ran 15w40 diesel oil. Some had over 2000 hours and ran like the day we bought them new. They also had there covers taken off every 100 hours and fins cleaned. That may be more important then the oil that is used.
