Just bought an old working Snapper, and Im putting some time in it to make it better. I'm having problems operating or trying to lower and raise the mower
deck. The lever that goes thru the different levels seems to be frozen.
Any ideas as to how to get unstuck.
Have no idea what the model is.There are no placards. All I know is that it has 12.5hp and a 28" deck.

Thanks in advanse!!

Lubricating oil & a prybar.

Sometimes lever for lowering & raising deck will get out of position favoring one side or the other & using a pry bar to center lever is needed so lever will function properly.

Welcome to the forum!

:welcome:

I'm going to move your thread over to the Snapper section in case you end up needing additional advice.

Got all the bad and old debris out of the lever mechanism, sprayed wd40 and grease and its working better than expected. It was badly corroded and really needed the cleanning and lube.

Thanks all for the help!
