Hey all.

So I have just got my hands on a Ryobi combi tool, I can't currently remember what they call it. But I got it free because apparently the engine was seized. Turns out it was only the pull start mechanism that was rusted up or something and was stuck. I think the spring is gone. But my main question is does anyone know of what pull start assembly I could use to replace the original one? Disclaimer... im in Australia so options suck. As far as online goes I can't seem to find anything generic with the right measurements. I was hoping someone might know a brand that uses the same parts at least.

Any help would be sweet, thanks.

You're looking for Homelite/Ryobi PN 310030003. The problem is it is NLA from the OEM.

A few other Ryobi models that uses it.

  • Fits RY60511A Gas Cultivator ,RY60511B Gas Cultivator ,RY60512 Gas Cultivator ,RY60520 Gas Cultivator ,RY60514 Gas Cultivator
It is not just Aussies that have this problem a lot OEMs are dropping older parts like dead flies. Making it hard to repair older equipment.

I still have some older 2-stroke Ryobi stuff, and they have held up well over many seasons (longer than intended), but most parts have been discontinued.

In more recent years, I think Ryobi steered its focus more towards battery operated tools.
