I run conventional, Mobil 5000 10w30 in all my mowers and change every 50 hours with oil filter. That's what the manuals and manufacturers says to run.

I run dino until break in period ends then synthetics ....even in my diesel. Two strokes start out with synthetics mix. Also run higher octane than required. 91-93....
Hydraulics get manufacturers requirements.

I run G-Oil biosynthetic 10w-30.
Supposedly biodegradable so I don't worry so much if I spill some on the ground during changes.
