18.5 HP Intek model 31P677-0132-B1. Engine blew up and the sump was damaged (unusable). I had used parts to put it back together other than the sump with the oil filter. I installed a sump without the oil filter that I had. The connecting rod has a hole in the cap and the crankshaft has 3 holes in it as well for lubrication. Is it ok to use the mower in this configuration. I'm sure it will not last as long but I would think the oil slinger that always worked in the past would be ok. Sounds fine. I have run it for a total of 10 minutes at various speeds but haven't put a load on it yet. Looking forward to any feedback. Thanks
