Just bought a used lawnmower.
It has a Tecumseh TVS 115V 56039B 4 hp engine.
Not sure what year.
No dipstick.
Oil fill hole is up to the brim with oil.
Is this an overfill situation?
What should proper fill level be?
Any help appreciated.
Also is there anywhere to download a free manual?
Thanks,

The level itエs at the middle of the thread, but if the engine donエt smoke, donエt worry.
If you donエt know the origin (history) of the engine, I recommend to change the oil.

Top of the thread of the oil fill hole is the proper level of oil. Change the oil if you haven't already, and run it. proper amount of oil should be 20 ounces. put that in and see were the oil level is.
