Oil Leak

I bought a used 2004 Craftsman riding mower. Model 917.273811 B&S 18.5 hp.

It runs steady but there is fresh oil leaking somewhere near the fuel filter on the left side/rear of the engine (if sitting on the tractor). The oil is only on the fuel line leading to the filter, the filter, and the line leading away. It drips off the bottom part of the fuel line onto the frame. No wet spots or oil on the side of the engine. Just wondering if this is a pretty common / easily fixed issue......what could be leaking, where to look for the leak etc.

Probably a good ounce of oil....enough to coat the fuel filter and lines.....after running maybe 15 minutes. Also, engine gives off white smoke when engaging the blades after riding around with blades 'off'.

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.

Blown head gasket causing crankcase pressure to push oil out the fuel pump breather, and then oil is running down fuel line to filter.

Makes sense. The breather is right there just above the fuel filter. Thank you.
