Manual says vanguard full synthetic 15w50 is preferred, 5w30 synthetic also an option. My question: the vanguard costs more. Walmart has Mobil 1 15w50 and Valvoline 5w30 for less. Would either of these be o.k. to use other than the Vanguard? Opinions appreciated. This is on a Bradley stand on mower. Thanks.

You should have no problems with either choice.

thanks for the response. I'm leaning towards one of the cheaper ones, but don't want to cause myself problems.

If you go with the cheaper one, just remember to change oil and filter each season.
