Hope everyone is well. Can someone help me please? I have an old briggs and Stratton engine (Model: 252707-0632-01-8408081) but it has a leak on the oil drain end cap. I have verified that the end cap is tightened well but the leak persists. Is there supposed to be a seal inside of the end cap?
Refer to picture that shows the end cap as well as the leak on the ground.

NPT threads tend to be rough and require thread interference to seal when the threads are basically smashed together. Could try either some pipe dope or teflon tape to see if that fixes the issue.
Remember those parts being the end cap and the drain tube look to be steel. Engine block is aluminum. Don't try to mega torque the tube into the block.
I agree some pipe dope should seal her up. No need for massive torque here.
