Hi folks.

Anyone have the OEM replacement part number for this part for my '88 28086S?

I've searched just about everywhere I can think of. I've compared pics that I've seen also and got it narrowed down to 3.

OR...

If anyone knows where the part # is located on said part, or it is even stamped, would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance !!!

Stator/Alternator are parts of the engine, you will need to post up all the numbers off the engine.

Here's a photo of the engine plate. If the number needed is not legible, I can go out and get the proper numbers.

I can't read the model and type numbers, try and clean them then re-post up.

OK, this was a little harder than I thought. Stamped in the housing really light.

Model: 192767 or 193767, leaning toward the first one.

Type: 2515 01 best I can tell.

Mine also has a red plug. I've seen them with white, black, or red plugs...Could it be that simple?? Nahhhhhhh

You need to clean off the shroud so you can see the model/type/code better. Try wiping it off with WD-40, or use a wire brush. Looking at the picture, what I can see for the model is ?9?7?7. You guessed 192767 or 193767. According to Empart Web (online parts lookup), any 190000 series, if the first two digits are 19 and the 4th and 6th digits are both 7's, the model number would have to be 19X707, where X could be a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. Here is a link to B&S website; you enter the model # and type - if the numbers don't turn green, its not a valid number. This web page also has links to find your model number (which you've already done), and what the numbers mean:
