Kinda wish I'd have found this forum over the winter and planned better ahead for my mower purchase this year. I didn't , so I now have a new yuppie cub cadet ( rzt-s 42" ) . Upside is that I got it from a dealer that will service it .
I live in UP-state ny , mow 3/4 of an acre that is relatively flat.
I'll be looking for tips on break-in and things to double check on a new mower to make sure I don't get off to a bad start because I missed something simple that I didn't know to look for .

I'd just look for loose things and keep them tight initially. I would also do an early first oil change, before maybe 10 hours for that first oil change ( some people even suggest after a couple of hours run in). Then regular intervals after that .

If you have a new Cadet, you have the manual. I'd get familiar with the manual and look for the maintenance schedule.
