I replaced the coil in my 116 lawn tractor. Since then, I have to put the battery on the charger after each 3 cuttings of the lawn. It appears that the coil is no longer charging the battery, and I do run at full throttle (hydro). Evidently I am running it solely on battery power, but one time I shut off the mower deck but the engine was still running. When I went to engage the mower, the electric switch would not work till I put it back on the charger. Is there some adjustment I can make that it will start to charge the battery? Wayne
The coil has nothing to do with charging the battery, it provides spark to the engine. Your charging system, made up with the stator and voltage regulator, keep your battery charged. Post all your engine numbers and we will provide you a procedure to test the charging system.

Find the wires you did not hook backup or hooked up incorrectly and tell us what happens. When you remove the engine cove on some engines you have to unplug some wires.
