I have a jd 116 with 2 cylinder briggs and stratton when its hot and you shut it off it will not start no spark,so I changed the coil, guess what I have no spark at all it has no points and the kill wire is not hooked up.Everybody tells me that their should be no reason I don't have spark, any suggestions
Hate to say this, but if you have set the air gap at .010 and have the kill wire disconnected, you probably have a bad coil. Just a thought, are you sure the coil is mounted correctly, kill wire terminal down?
