I have an electric B & D 18" mulcher. I used it in tall grass for about 30 min. Stopped to re-arrange the cable and it would not start. Next day I pulled the cover off blew out all the debris and it ran for about 30 min. Unplugged it to move to the front of the house and it would not start. I checked for power. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Haven't got a clue what type of equipment you are using. But, anything electrical that quits after 30 minutes of use, then starts working again at some point later, suggests to me it is overheating. It could be from inadequate ventilation, as suggested when you removed the cover and found debris, or you may be using it to do something it wasn't intended.

Okay, I did a search. I am assuming you are referring to a Black and Decker 18" mulching push mower. Is this correct? The only places I've ever seen an electric mower used is on very well manicured lawns where the grass was no more than 1" taller than the finished mowing height. I'm thinking you are probably overloading the motor in that tall grass and a thermal overload switch is kicking out.

Does the mower have a side discharge chute or rear bag as well? If so, try using one of those and see if it still overheats in the tall grass because it will cause less strain on the motor.
