No power to starter Cub Cadet 2166

Cub Cadet 2166, model number 13A-254G100. Kohler Command 16.5 hp engine.
Done so far:

• Replaced starter and solenoid assembly
• Replaced clutch
• Replaced oil pressure sensor
• Replaced carburetor
• Checked seat switch, brake switch, and cruise control switch- all good.
• PTO switch works
• Battery showing 12.7 volts

Mower will crank and start when cold, blades work, lights, everything. But when I run for a bit, maybe 20 min or so turn off the engine and try to start again I have no power going to the starter. I hear the click of the carb solenoid and the lights will work, but no power when I turn the ignition.
Any ideas? Very frustrating.

When you turn the key to start position do you get approx 12v at the small wire on the starter solenoid? If not check if you have approx 12v at the start terminal of the ignition switch when you turn the key to the start position. I would be looking for a corroded connection somewhere. Wiggle the plug on the back of the ignition switch a few times and unplug and plug in a few times then see if it starts hot.

Suggestion: purchase a tube of Silicone Dielectric to use on all electrical connections, helps keep moisture out which causes corrosion even on spark plug boot connections, battery posts & terminals, etc.
