I bought a Lawn Boy 5275 some years ago and the machine worked very good I now am having a problem with the engine getting fuel. I took off the carburetor which is all plastic and I noticed dirt and some kind of elemment inside of the carburetor filter how do I go about getting the carbutretor cleaned out, I already sprayed carburetor cleaner inside of the carburetor and much of the grass and dirt won't come out even when I applied forced air into the carburetor filter any reccomendations would be a big help:smile:

Now I am not the go to guy for lawn boys but from what I have read on here the fuel filter is not serviceable. You may have to replace carb. But my bigger issue is how did that much stuff get in your fuel. Mowing with gas cap off?

Remove the needle and seat and float, soak the carb in simple green or hot soapy water then use a small wire to poke in to all the holes. Use compressed air to clean it all out. If the float has a flat finish to it replace it, it will become fuel logged and flood. Throw a fresh needle and seat in it if it hasn't been changed in a while.
