Is it good to load up in the fall with a heavy nitrogen fertilizer to help with good lawn growth in the spring ? Or is it better to just wait and fertilize in the Spring ?

I think with a little research you'll find nitrogen applications in the fall on lawns is a no, no for grasses that go dormant in winter . Early spring would be my recommendation. OH, but wait, you don't even own a mower.:laughing::laughing:
