When I was a service manager at a local JD dealer, the small engine and rider customers consumed much of my time with "stupid".
JD and aftermarket warranty were both difficult to get approvals through and of course the customer feedback survey was a tool the customers abused often.
Many of the problems were bad fuel issues from machines sitting way too long. Down here in rural South Texas, many people only have a very short cutting season in the Spring, and they also love to buy the cheapest E10 fuel the can find.
Unless the customer emptied their fuel and run the equipment dry, they just keep repeating the same problems over and over season after season.
