Your off to a good start big brother...can't speak for local sources in your area, but there is a guy in Michigan with lots of nos on ebay. Also a great decal guy in Florida also on ebay. The guy in Florida also has lots of nos. If he dont have it listed, you can send him a message and if he has what you need he will list it for you. His user name is rsmotorsports_racing_collectables. Great guy to deal with

You asked about parts but you might also be interested in this online shop manual.

In one of your photos I spotted an F-series engine -- arguably the best push mower engine ever made.

You can read about it in the manual. If you're new to two-cycle engines don't skip Section 1 -- they get into how those engines work -- and how they differ from four-cycle.

Let us know how it goes.

well thank you...i got them off craigslist...talked to the gentleman last fall and just got them this weekend..40.00 well spent i think...the 10301 ran a while back..he can not remember how long ago the older one ran..have always been garaged and were like new underneath...i was tired of buying junk and had always loved lawn boys...and i run a non for profit in my town and we are starting to help those in need...and i wanted to see how well these work...my idea was to get a fleet of these to mow people lawns who are unable too...glad i did well with my find...thank you again

lawnboy2 004.jpgdont waste your money on the v force.fix it and sell it If your lucky you will break even.its not a sought after model due to the fact it was toro's effort to give two stroke lawnboy's a bad name.but what do I know I got 4 of them the last one I found at the curb.I have one that is a Toro v force and it cuts pretty good.It has a different deck design than the LB I have not paid over 20 bucks for one but end up sticking 30 to 40 in them to get them up and running Good luck with yours

the newer one you have is referred to as the v force.they do not have roller bearings on the crankshaft and are not a true Lawnboy motor. It is a techumseh mfg'd for toro/lawnboy as a cheaper alternative to the duraforce series. You did okay on your deal just dont let it dollar and dime you.

A good rule of thumb.....if it ain't a duraforce...make sure it has a cast deck....;-)

Ok, I see what mowers you have. Are they running yet? If not, what state are you in? I can look up these parts and then cross reference them to see what I have. I'm going to work today, so I will see what I have. I have several carbs, 15 or so shrouds, decks, motors, recoil, magneto, wheels galore, etc..... Please find out what you are needing and reply to me. I will see what I can do and can probably give them to you fairly cheap. Thank you. Good luck

I also am considering selling my 1986 lawn boy suburban model 8480. It is great condition for its age. All decals and most paint are intact. Runs like a dream and drive system works fine too! I have the rear discharge attachment for it, and it would come with an extra blade. As I said, I'm not positive I will sell it, but if someone offers me a good price, I might part with it. Has been garaged, and has always been cleaned and well taken care of. Carb has been cleaned, wheels greased, underneath of shroud and engine cleaned, spark plug cleaned, cables oiled, and deck scraped clean of grass. If interested, please reply. My email is zlmbrt13@gmail.com
Thank You!
