Ryobi is joining the party of full sized Li-Ion battery powered lawn mowers with a new model that features a brushless motor, and offers mulching and bagging modes. It uses the same 40 volt batteries as the other tools, including its smaller 16" sibling. This mower offers a wider range of 7 cutting heights with a maximum 3-3/4" setting. RYOBI Tools
Pricing and availability are not available yet, but presumably it will be made available through Home Depot stores.

It just appeared on the Home Depot website with pricing set at $399, which is competitive with the offerings from Kobalt and Greenworks. Claimed run time is 45 minutes with the two supplied batteries, which seems reasonable. There is some nonsense on the Home Depot webpage, such as the statement that it has a metal deck or that it is suitable for yards up to 1 acre in size.
Update; it is now available for purchase online and in select stores. Reviews have been mostly good, although they are mostly from "Seed Program" members who got it for free to provide promotional reviews. The only complaints are the usual "too much plastic", short battery run time and not enough power. It will be interesting to see how it affects sales of the more expensive EGO mower, which is also sold through Home Depot.
