I sometimes repair a mower for a friend. At this time I have in my shop an MTD self-propelled mower with a Honda 160 engine that is hard to start. The valve clearance is okay. I removed the carburetor and ACS choke. I noticed a damaged gasket in the intake stack and I am waiting for a gasket kit that I ordered over the internet.
