I'm new to the site and just wanted to say Hi. My name is Jimmy, I have a Craftsman 42inch, with a 23hp V2 Briggs engine. One thing I like about this mower is you don't have to stop to shift gears, just mover the lever back and forth to change moving speed.

I do have a question, when I disengage the blades they do not disengage. I have to shut off the engine to make them stop. Any suggestions?

Check to see if wire harness plug has come loose at pto clutch bottom of engine. Also post your tractor model number and all numbers from engine:
model xxxxxx, type xxxx, trim xx.

This lawn mower does not have the electric clutch on the engine shaft, (I wish it did) blades are engaged with a lever on the dash next to the steering wheel.
