I have a 10 year old HRB216HXA with a GCV160 that I bought new, and it's been pretty much trouble free other than normal maintenance, and a carb replacement. But the end of last year I noticed that I was starting to see oil spots on the garage floor, and it appears that the oil is leaking from where the governor arm shaft passes through the case. I've checked the parts diagram and I don't see any seal or o-ring listed, maybe I'm overlooking something? I've also done a search of the forum and didn't find anything listed like my problem. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am not familiar with your tractor. As far as tracing leaks. You probably know how they travel- like a leaky roof. Wipe everything down so you can truly see the leak. There are tracer dyes used in the auto trade . Some require a "black lite." The ?"joy" of a smaller tractor is access and small size to find such problems. I have had my Intek apart but do not remember if the gov shaft ran in a bush. Perhaps such a thing is replaceable but not from the outside.
