Past & current owner of Murray's 36" & 42" ( one with Tecumseh(bad experience w/ these engines) & one with B&S), Craftsman 48", 23hp B&S (on it's 2nd motor), 2006 Husqvarna EZ 5221 (21hp Kawasaki), Stihl chainsaw & trimmers, Husqvarna trimmers & blowers, Poland blowers (yuk) Homelite trimmers, blowers & chainsaws (yuk), Kubota 4WD Tractor/Frontend loader and various brands of generators. Try to do most of my maintenance since I have a maintenance background from the military.
Was a B&S man til I bought a used 2006 EZ 5221 Husky zero turm (ZT) in 2010 and that Kawasaki engine made a believer out of me. Perk was the industrial air cleaner (cannister type) & the fabricated vs metal stamped deck. When I sold the EZ 5221 (June 2014) it still did not smoke. Well, you can imagine when mower shopping again I had to have the industrial air cleaner & the heavy duty fabricated metal deck. Was going to buy new version of the EZ 5221 now called MZ 52 w/ 24hp Kawasaki engine, BIG PROBLEM, it has the same cartridge type air filter as my Craftsman that on it's 2nd motor. After a few mowings the Crafstman filter is full of dust & debris. When I sold the EZ5221 I had just replaced the air filters (filter inside a filter system) and the inside filter still looked new & pristine.
Anyway, I signed up last month and got a couple of email request to introduce my self so I hope I've given you enough info to wet your lips and made a proper introduction. I was looking for reviews last month when I was comparing eXmark Pioneer Series S ZT (60" cut) normally $7,500 but, on sale for $7,000 & Husqvarna PZT 60" ZT (has the fabricated deck & cannister air cleaner) normally $8,199 but, on special for $7800. Then low and behold found out that Husqvarna had a package deal special for $7,199 that included a Backpack blower, handheld blower and string trimmer. Well as you may guess I went for the PZT 60 package deal and love it.
