Hello all,
I joined in an attempt to find an answer to issues I've been having with a Craftsman DLS3500 mower (20.0 Intek I believe).

Being a newbie, last year decided to be pro-active and do some preventative maintenance on the old mower.
Changed/cleaned filters, cleaned tank, changed oil/filter, basic cleaning of fuel lines and even the carb ... (it's been 18 months, I don't recall what else may have been done).

However, biggest thing I managed to do was to introduce some issue and the darn thing never ran right again.

Mower just wouldn't run for more than a minute or two eventually it got bad enough it wouldn't even run unless on full choke. Learned what I could and did all I could do last year, to no avail. While I was on travel, unbeknownst to me ... my father in law (quite experienced in this realm) grabbed up the mower and took it his shop ... they did what they could culminating in putting new carburetor on ... he paid the bill so I'm ok with that. When I came back, thought I'd work on it, started it up, mower shuts off as it has been doing. Long story as short as possible ... Since it was smoking a little ... I learned to pull the head, clean up what I saw, change gasket, re-gap valves and whatever else I had to.

Started it up ... same issue. Even with the new carb I learned was added.

Anyway, just the other day, I joined this forum to try to help in troubleshooting. Recalled that same day I registered here that early on I read that something called an Anti after-fire solenoid can be a pain ... testing it then and testing it now seemed to show it worked fine. Removed it anyway ... all is RIGHT in the world. Running like a champ.

So, Ive joined to learn more. I've enjoyed learning what I have this past year ... looking forward to learning more from y'all on whatever I get into next.
