This seems like a simple problem when compared to most others I've seen here.
My new XT775 Kohler mower took some getting used to. It started out pulling me behind it at a run until I eased up my grip on the drive clutch grip.
It came with a mulching type blade and I couldn't understand why the mower was not picking up pieces of bark twigs and other misc. junk. I should mention that I bag and almost never mulch. I swapped the mulching blade with my old mowers hi lift blade. This fixed that issue.
Now it's fall and leaves are starting to fall at a pretty good rate from my 6 oak trees. This is the source of my main problem. This damned mower blows the leaves away from the mower rather than vacuuming them up into the blade. Because of this, if I want a nice clean looking yard after mowing, well, I'm not getting it.
I've had about 4 various mowers in my life and all the others have sucked up leaves really well.
What's wrong with this piece of new junk?
